Simone Rocha showcased JeanPaulGautier’s SS24 Couture show as a guest designer. The Spring 24 collection was endorsed by Lana Del Rey, Kylie Jenner, and Kelly Rutherford at the front row.

The collection was a sensual reinterpretation of provocative couture house. From the signature corset details to the marine look, Simone Rocha revitalised the house in a celestial, romantic, and gothic manner. She infused her distinctive subversive femininity and coquettish aesthetic with embroidered lace, voluminous draping, floral details, bows, pearls, and jewels. Even though Simone Rocha’s overall aesthetic is more romantic, when JPG’s is more provocative, they both reflect feminine allure using the same creative language. They offer women a choice between demure elegance and a more daring, erotic sensibility. Simone Rocha was thrilled upon being appointed as the guest designer. She stated, “I wanted to play on this idea of restriction and release.” Her interpretation of JPG’s historical and romantic haute couture was truly magical, being attractive, provocative, playful, sensual, feminine, yet strong.
