The collection was inspired by 1920’s Parisian night life and streets. The setting was a recreation of Parisian dive bar, with atmospheric elements like bare floorboards, cafe tables, and a bar overflowing with spent drinks, all under the light of a full moon. Galliano's designs were a fusion of past and present, the show seemed to emerge straight from history, weaving narrative into fashion.

The collection featured silhouettes reminiscent of the Belle Époque and Christian Dior's midcentury couture, with references to Galliano's own works in the past.

The intricate craftsmanship was evident in every piece, with techniques such as silicone and glue treatments, and the layering of organza and chiffon to create unrealistic textures and forms. Additionally, 'porcelain' neckpieces, made from polished leather, further enhanced the collection's sense of illusion and artistry. Not just clothes, but the makeup was truly sensational as well. Makeup artist, Pat McGrath envisioned Galliano’s narratives with her imaginations which pushed boundaries of the idea of make up, and adding the over the top drama to Maison Margiela’s artisanal collection.
