스키아파렐리가 예술계의 가장 위대한 작품들에 대한 오마쥬 컬렉션으로 패션이 예술임을 증명했다.

Schiaparelli 크리에이티브 디렉터인 Daniel Roseberry 가 예술계 가장 위대한 예술 작품에 대한 재해석으로 고전적이고 우아한 디테일과 금박 장식의 디테일을 가미하여 숨막히는 컬렉션을 자아내 2023 오트 쿠튀르 패션 위크를 장악했다.

재해석된 작품들로는 살바도르 달리의 녹는 시계와 일출, 자코메티의 조각상, 거울 모자이크, 이브 클라인의 파란색, 루시안 프로이드 등이 컬렉션에 녹아졌다.

패션이 예술인지에 대한 의문점과 주장은 자주 거론되는 주제이다. 특히 다른 어떤 패션 장르보다 오트 쿠튀르는 더욱더 예술과 비교되는 장르이다. Schiaparelli는 패션이 예술이라는 개념에 대하여 오너쉽을 가졌고, 이 개념을 비교를 넘어 새로운 수준으로 끌어올렸다. Schiaparelli의 디렉터 Roseberry는 이번 컬렉션을 '불가능한 옷장'이라고 묘사하였고 초현실주의가 해석한 여성의 에센셜 옷장 이라고 덧붙였다.

Schiaparelli creative director Daniel Roseberry champions 2023 Couture Fashion Week with a breathtaking collection composed of a re-interpretation of the greatest art pieces with a gilded, elegant touch.

Art Pieces including Savadore Dali’s melting clock & Sunrises Giacometti’s Scultures Mirrored Mosaic, Yves Klein Blues, Lucien Freud and many more avant-garde art were reflected on Roseberry's designs.

Couture is often compared to art, more so than any other genre of fashion—Schiaparelli really owned that concept and elevated the comparison to a new level. Schiaparelli’s director Roseberry describes the maison’s latest collection as ‘An impossible wardrobe’ - ‘a Surrealist’s interpretation of a woman’s essential closet’
